JULIA MANCARELLA JEWELRY

About JULIA MANCARELLA JEWELRY

I am a jeweler and colored gemstone enthusiast based in Denver, Colorado. I was born and raised in this gorgeous city and continue to live and work here.  My love of gemstones can be seen very clearly in much of my work. The design process often begins with the gemstone, and then the piece is built around it to best showcase the stone's natural beauty. My jewelry also features contrasting materials, textures and finishes. 14k yellow gold, 18k yellow gold, silver, recycled diamonds and colorful gemstones are my materials of choice.

Emphasizing ethical and sustainable practices in my studio is something I strive to do as much as possible. From buying ethically mined stones and recycled precious metals, to reducing my environmental impact, my goal is to use responsible methods in all facets of jewelry making whenever possible.

I am the President of the Colorado Metalsmithing Association and have been serving the local metalsmithing and jewelry community since 2017. Our membership includes a wide variety of professionals, educators, students and hobbyists. Through member events, our conference and shows, CoMA members enjoy sharing new techniques and creative endeavors. This organization is such a joy to be a part of, and has been of great benefit to me and my career as a fine art jeweler and goldsmith.

When I am not at the bench, I love traveling and visiting my family that lives in California and Germany. I also find lots of inspiration at the Denver Botanic Gardens and the mountains that are just an hour away from my home base. Spending time in nature and my indoor jungle of houseplants helps me feel rejuvenated and creatively energized.
